Kuwait MOH

Hi,

I am new to this site and I found it very informative. This would be my first post. I would just like to know if anybody on this board wrote the Kuwait MOH exam last March 18 in PICC? I believe there were 3 agencies who facilitated the exam and interview. In my case I passed the exam and was interviewed by the Kuwait MOH delegates last March 24 at Diamond Hotel- Manila. The agency called me up informing me that I passed the interview and wait for further instructions for the next step. I would just like to hear how many of us are awaiting for possible deployment to Kuwait and any update as to your case will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

What does it mean by the bilateral thing? Is that sub-contract?

visit this link guys, bout the bilateral construction company thing, i think its quite related, though the concerned nurses were indians, btw, is BCCO our subcon? Thanks!

We were advised to have our medical 3 months ago. Guys, inquire personally or CALL the agency because I bet they are not going to answer if through SMS. Ask them what really is the problem. If you want to wait longer for this even if it will take God-knows-how-long, then wait. As we all know, they are having our CVs sent to other clients (I use the term client because I do not know if hospital or clinic), but have the agency updated you on anything? Like 'Mr/Ms. *, we gave your CV to blah blah blah for this position and is waiting for response' kind of thing.

they were answering inquiries thru sms, though they are not mentioning what really transpired, having this problem with the subcon and moh thing. Well, let us all pray together guys... After all, we've been through hardships of complying with the reqts, even doing the medical and the expenses... Im planning to go personally to the agency by this week or til nxtweek, ill update you guys :)

there's already update guys, in the FB page made by one nurse who is also under safe future..ask for an invite from the admin *******..the name of the page is Nurses Bound for Kuwait MOH-Safe Future Agency. It is a closed group so i don't think you will be able to search for it..just ask for an invite from ******..

Why is it that the agency does not update us if there is an update????

Hello, fellow nurses. Anyone here who's working in Al Salam International hospital in Kuwait? I just want to know how's the working condition in the hospital? Is the hospital management ok? How much do they offer for the newly hired nurses and also for the other benefits like housing, transpo, uniform, vacation? I was hired in Al Salam Intl hospital, and offered a 275kd basic salary plus 50 kd housing allowance. Is the company accommodation good? Fully furnished? How many staff will share in one room? Is it near the hospital? Because I'm planning to stay in their accomodation to be safe. How about for the vacation, is it yearly and paid? Is roundtrip airfare ticket free? Co workers in al Salam are friendly? Please, really need to know all of these things... Thank you so much to those who will answer to my querry. God Bless.

If I could only answer your queries, I would gladly do that, but Im not familiar with private hospitals here in Kuwait as Im working under MOH. Im hoping somebody can do that for you here in this thread.

Some update regarding MOH hiring.

Eventually the Ministry of Health Kuwait went to India for massive hiring just recently. My take why they choose to hire Indian nurses solely is because of MONEY that comes along conveniently for local agencies/subcontractors here in Kuwait.

In the Philippines, POEA and our government does not allow applicants to pay worth of more than one month of the offered salary as placement fee, but in India, its somehow sky's the limit. Those Indian nurses who came here same year with us (2011) were required to pay a whoping 5 thousand KD as placement fee. That's almost 800 thousand pesos! This placement fee were shared by Indian agencies, government and local Kuwaiti subcontractors. Those Indian nurses worked for a year without earnings since their salaries went strait to paying their placement fee.

My take...not unless our government will allow such robbery up front will MOH-kuwait starts to hire nurses from the Philippines again.

Sad update indeed.

if you were offered 250kd to work in a government hospital here in kuwait, better go for a private hospital. there are private hospitals who are offering higher salary than 250kd. nurses who are working in the MOH kuwait nowadays are already receiving a minimum of 700kd depending on your experience. i don't want to discourage everyone here who are hoping to come and work here in kuwait, but i also don't want u to come here blindly. atleast if you decide to continue, u know the pros and cons. God bless everyone. btw, receiving 755kd doesn't even equal the amount of job and administrative pressure that i need to face, But these things will depend in which hospital and area u were assigned to. some were lucky to be in a less demanding environment. so pray hard.

Hi I'm new in this thread I hope you can give me some advise if I still have to retake the MOH exam if I would like to reapply under another agency/company bound to Kuwait. I took the exam 2 years ago under Dar Al Shifa Hospital unfortunately, I had some issues with my agency and I decided to pull out my application. I dont have any job offer yet however I am thinking if I have to wait for one more year to reapply so that the examination that I took will be considered expired (if it works like the Prometric in Saudi Arabia). Thanks for the advises in advance...:)
