KU Med (Children's Mercy) and Truman in Kansas and Missouri

I also posted this in the Kansas Nursing forum but thought it would be appropriate here as well.

My husband and I have a strong possibility of relocating to the KC area sometime next year. I want to stay in the NICU and was wondering if anyone here either works at these centers or has worked there before and can give me a little insight.

My preference is Children's Mercy because it is attached to KU (I have previous experience at UMKC and was not impressed) and because I see that Children's Mercy takes cardiac cases (something my current teaching hospital doesn't offer only because we don't have any docs) but I will take either one since they are both teaching hospitals.

I don't know if it matters or not but we are looking at living in Johnson County.
