For those who applied to KPSAN. Good luck ! I hope we will hear something from the school in mid-Nov.

I'm okay with that. Gives time to make travel arrangements and prepare for the interview.

Unfortunate interviews wouldn't be until February though.

I agree. I am going to start a second job as a travel nurse in February to save some cash. So it would have been nice to get interviews done in Dec & Jan.

From the sounds of previous threads they should be at the beginning of February. I asked which days- but the secretary emailed me back and said they weren't set yet.

Travel from?

Unfortunate because I have several interviews before then and if accepted will have to put a deposit.

Alexanderthegreat... What city will your assignement be?

I live north of Seattle.

I have two other schools beside Kaiser that I am waiting to hear back from-one has interviews in January, the other typically has interviews the end of February. It sounds like if I interview for all- I would hear back fe all of them within about 2 weeks of each other. January and February are either going to be really awesome or really terrible! Especially those last 2 weeks in February!! I am hoping that means I will only have to put in a deposit to one place.

Yea that will be awesome or heartbreaking lol. But yea those are all close so hopefully it will all workout. I have 2 in December and 1 interview in January and 4 more pending besides KPSAN.

Good luck to us! I think Kaiser is my top choice- but it changes daily. :) I am a little nervous about getting a California license and the out of state tuition.

California endorsement process is slow, as I'm sure you know. I didn't know there was a difference in out of state tuition until I just checked. I wonder if after you establish residency will that change for year 2 and 3.

My travel job is in Greensboro, NC. I was born and raised in so cal, but have been working at UNC medical center in Chapel hill, NC for the past year because my wife wanted to try living outside of California for a while. And my family has been wanting to move back for months now, so I only applied for the so cal CRNA schools so we could be back with family and have family and friend support during school. KPSA is definitely my #1 as well, hopefully we all get in.

I think it was mentioned somewhere about a process to establish residency after that first year...although if my math is correct it adds 40K for that first year alone.

I did hear that Cali endorsement is a process...a long process. One of my nursing school classmates moved to california right after school was done, and took NCLEX down there. It took MONTHS for her to be able to sit for the exam. I looked at the BON and they are currently looking at endorsements that were submitted over 6 weeks ago. It is, what it is though. Not looking forward to the headache-but definitely worth it if I can get into the program.

I looked again. The 43K extra for out of state would be for the whole program. It is 17k extra for year 1. (43 units at $396 per unit).

Got the email, 2! Good luck everyone!
