  1. I would wait until you are accepted. Plus clinicals wouldn't start until next year. But either way it doesn't take 6 months to get a CA license. They are slow and impossible to get a call through to them.
  2. Anyone get accepted from interview last week?
  3. They asked you clinical questions? I didn't get any.
  4. All sciences. Although some programs look at the last 60 units taken.
  5. I would suggest to do both. Make your application/stats better and apply now. Your stats so far are ok but you can make up for the gpa which is not that bad although you left out the science gpa which is important to some programs, but you can make up for it by taking grad pharm or patho. Also, I would highly recommend getting your CSC and CMC certifications. No matter what anyone says they do matter. Keep volunteering that looks great and I have been asked twice about that in interviews which I have done. Definitely study and take the GRE, so you can apply to more programs. Cast a wide net and don't limit yourself to just local or a few programs. Oh and shadow CRNAs as much as you can, this is a must, more than just one day if you can, doesn't even need to be a full day, maybe 3-4 4hr days. I've been asked a few times about my shadowing experience. Definitely do not wait. Apply now and later if need be but definitely continue to make yourself the best applicant. Also try to be a relief charge nurse if possible, committees, teaching opportunities, research etc. Right now your stats are ok and maybe at some of the high volume programs you can get an interview but you need to find ways to separate yourself. Plus going through the process helps a lot and if you nab an interview and go through that process it will help for the 2nd, 3rd, and subsequent interviews.
  6. I agree with NYnurse, you definitely need to apply to more than one school even if you have great stats. A resident told me you have to cast a wide net and this has proven to be true. I have great stats and still applied to over a handful of schools. Even if granted an interview there is no guarantee you will get in, your stats just get you in the door. Your cum gpa is low, you didn't mention what grades you received in those graduate courses, if A's that looks awesome. I would consider getting your CMC certification since you work in CV ICU. The other letters beside CCRN don't carry much weight and ACLS, BLS, PALS are expected to have for all programs. You did not mention any committees at your hospital, might want to consider that as well. Also shadowing a CRNA as much as possible, add that to the list, more the better. No doubt if you cast a wider net you will at least get an interview, it's pricey but it's an investment.
  7. Thanks. I submitted mine the middle of October.
  8. Thanks Mgfam, you were right, patience. Just got an interview invite 🙏🏽 .
  9. Considering everything else I thought that might be the case. The science gpa is heavily weighted for most programs.
  10. I got interviews at 2 of the schools you mentioned and waiting on USC. My GRE is no where as competitive as yours. Your icu experience is low and not sure what kind of icu, teaching hospital, small community. Also not sure your science gpa, they look at that as well. The cum gpa is low but you have a bunch of certifications which should help.
  11. I believe they were referring to the email regarding being notified by 12/21.
  12. Good luck with your aspirations. This journey to CRNA is a marathon. You have a good amount of apps in, so that's great.
  13. California endorsement process is slow, as I'm sure you know. I didn't know there was a difference in out of state tuition until I just checked. I wonder if after you establish residency will that change for year 2 and 3.
