Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone knows any preggo ladies in their accelerated program. Not that I plan on being pregnant in nursing school, I'm just entertaining some options to plan out my life. What is it like? Are clinicals impossible while pregnant in that program? Any info would be great.
Thanks!

I am beginning Georgia States ACE program in a few weeks. I have heard of women who were pregnant and delivered towards the end or after the program ended. I am sure it can work. I was pregnant and worked my entire first pregnancy (in finance not as a nurse). If you can keep focused them it should be ok. Its totally your choice :)
Thanks! That's encouraging. Ideally, that would be the best thing for our family.. as in get pregnant and time it where I'd have the baby right after graduation. I just think about if I will be able to participate in clinicals properly or if I end up having complications, or TWINS.. but definitely good to know that others do it .
Thanks again!

OMG, I thought I was the only person with this crazy idea! I'm 38, I feel my clock ticking and if I'm gonna have another baby, it will have to be soon. I haven't even applied to a nursing program but it will likely be an accelerated program so I'm trying to get all pre-reqs out of the way. The way I see it, if I happen to get pregnant, well then, baby comes first. Nursing school will always be there. In the perfect world, I'd love to finish school first and then baby afterwards.
To anybody who is in this predicament, I wish you all the best of luck! It's tough being a woman sometimes but have faith and you will through.

I'm about to start my second semester at GSU's accelerated program. We had one girl in my classes who was pregnant and gave birth towards the end of the semester. To be honest I think she is traditional but I'm not 100% sure. The teachers seemed really great about working with her to get her school work done and clinicals completed.
