Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn

I interviewed for a position at this hospital and was wondering if anybody has any experience working there. Also, how long did it take before you heard back from them after the interview? I would appreciate your response. Thanks.

really, i'm going to apply there also for a pn position. i really can't answer your question, i have a cousin working there as a m.d. are you waiting a long time for a response, i hope not, good luck!

Specializes in Nurses who are mentally sicked.

It is city owed hospital...and it is very hard to predict what they would do.

However, during the interview, they would give me an answer right away. I have applied for positions in a few HHC Hospitals, and they all hired me; but I only picked the one I am working for right now.

Specializes in L&D, QI, Public Health.

I've been out of Brooklyn for a little while now, so I don't know how things are there (at Kings County) currently. But I would say at the very least, you won't be bored.;)

i actually filled out an application earlier today, there were so many people filling out applications. i was applying for a pn position, about 3 others were also , i hope they hire all of us and not just one or two, seeing that i am a new grad. anyway good luck to the op!

Thanks to all of you that responded to my post. I have been waiting for about a month now. I contacted them and they said it takes about two months to process applications. I thought that was ridiculous. Anyway, I am interviewing at other hospitals. If I get something before they call me, well, that will be their loss.

gt4everpn, I wish you luck. I hope you get the job. I know they need nurses it's just that red tape gets in the way and delays the hiring process.
