Kind of a werid question about nursing school

Hi, I'm about to do my CNA training (it's a prerequisite for the RN program in my state), and I have kind of a weird question about CNA/nursing school. Are we ever required to practice skills on each other. (Like brusing teeth, hair, ect.) Or do we only practice on patients during clinicals?

we have a really awesome fake arm, it's incredible it has veins and arteries, and feels like an arm, fake blood even comes out of it! We practise on that, and on the manniquin for giving injections. (THANK GOD)! lol
Cool! We got to practice on a banana. Supposedly, the banana is close to the real thing, in feel.

My classmates shaved me. The instructor asked me to not shave before a class so the students could feel what shaving a man's beard felt like. That's about all we did. it was no big deal. I was glad to help, and thankfully I lost no skin :)

In Ohio for nurse aide class we practiced on each other but usually make-believe. Like for brushing teeth we would do the whole skill but just verbalize that we were carefully brushing all surfaces and go through the motions but not actually stick a toothbrush inside each others' mouths. Which was good, my lab partner was newly pregnant and pretty much anything made her heave. :barf01:

We did both.

We learned skills on each other.
