Who is applying this Spring 2015 to get accepted next spring 2016?!!!? I am really nervous about the TEAS Exam. Has anyone taken it this year? How hard did you think it was?

Also what grades have you received in your classes and how did you do on the TEAS??

I am also a transfer student. Yes, there is a special call number for the patho class we will have to put in I believe. See you guys on the 4th!

For accelerated students, did you guys choose the online section or in class section for the research class?

I chose the class section. i do much better hearing lecture than learning on my own.

I chose the online version. There are pros and cons to both sections so yoy just have to go with what works best for you. I work best at my own pace and having kids at home, I wanted to be able to dictate when I did the course material. I've also been told the in class section tests are very difficult and all the writing for our final paper is done towards the end of the semester, rather than throughout. I know I'm in for much more busy work with the online class though.

I chose the online version because I like to work at my own pace at home. I didn't feel that my time would be as well spent in a classroom for this subject. The bad thing about taking online is missing out on meeting people in class and forming relationships :/

I chose online as well. I usually do well in online classes so I hope this is no different.

Also, I had titers done yesterday at Any Lab Test Now in the Windy Hill area and got my results via email today. Highly recommend using them if anyone hasn't gotten theirs done yet.

Is anyone ordering the optional black scrubs for classroom use? Debating if I want to buy the optional ones or just stick to the required white ones.

I thought we had to buy both, but if we're not I probably will get them anyway. There's a buy/sell group for KSU nursing students on facebook. I've seen lots of scrubs and other supplies on there for pretty cheap. I guess we'll learn all this at orientation in a month!

We can't wear them as first year student so I'll save my money for now. If I want them later on I can always order them, but the white ones are the ones we have to wear to clinicals.

The email last week said there would be no more correspondence through the mail....that email IS the orientation packet. :-) HTH!
