Kennesaw State University Fall 2015

Is anyone planning on applying to KSU for Fall 2015?

Just found out I made it in for fall 2015! I'm also looking forward to meeting everyone!! :)

My overall GPA is 3.8

I'm currently an LPN

I made 88 on TEAS

By the way..did KSU do away with interviews?

I am also a KSU student. I am looking for two roommates for a potential house.

Looking for a roommate starting the end of July/August! I have a friend who is also wanting to live with us.. But things are very up in the air right now in terms of that situation. Feel free to send me an e-mail: [email protected]

Specializes in RN-BC, SCRN.

Yes, several years ago KSU stopped doing interviews. Program placement is determined solely on the basis of cumulative GPA, nursing prerequisite GPA and TEAS exam scores now.

How does the point system work? How many points do you receive for certain GPA and letter grades in pre-Reqs?

How does the point system work? How many points do you receive for certain GPA and letter grades in pre-Reqs?

Total points of 90

TOTAL GPA - 20 points ---- multiple by your GPA by 20, divide by 4

TOP 5/7 (math and science only) - 30 points ---- your 5/7 GPA multiplied by 30, divided by 4 (I would assume this is figured the same way, with science counting as 4 hours, math as 3? I am not sure if they do that or weigh them all the same - anyone know?)

TOP 7/12 (of pre requisites only) - 20 points ---- same as Total GPA to figure

TEAS - 20 points ---- Your score multiplied by 20, divided by 100

Add them up for total points out of 90. Although we have no idea how many it takes to get in. Making A's in the pre requisites and good TEAS can give you a higher score than high GPA with B's in those classes. Knowing the average GPA and Teas doesn't really help to know what people who were accepted had.

I know someone who had a 3.25 GPA and 80 on TEAS, and got in. She had a previous degree. Now she is a stellar student, 4.0 on all pre-reqs, and her points were high enough to make the cut.

I also know someone with 3.85, 86 on TEAS who did not get in - B's in science classes.

I am starting the traditional program in the fall and would love to live with other nursing students. Is anyone looking for a place to live in the fall?

@tlm13 what is your email?

I was accepted into the Fall 2015 KSU nursing program, and I have a two bedroom apartment at Clarinbridge. Its less than a mile away from campus, and I need a roommate! It will be fully furnished, except your bedroom. Email me if you're interested :) [email protected]

I just found this page and wanted to introduce myself to my future classmates! There was a mistake with my transcript, so I found out only recently that I've been accepted for KSU's traditional program for Fall of 2015. I am super excited to get started! Honestly, Fall can't come soon enough. My boyfriend and I are looking for a place around the Marietta/Kennesaw area, and we would be open to having roomate(s). PM me if interested. If it matters, my stats:

TEAS: 89.7

GPA: 3.4

Also have a degree in another field.

I look forward to meeting you all and embarking on this exciting new career path!

Hey guys! Congratulations to you guys for all your hard work!

Did anyone get a letter in the mail yet concerning orientation for the fall? I emailed Fran about it last Thursday or so, and she said it should be coming within the following week, but I still haven't gotten anything yet. It's probably that it just hasn't come yet, but I'm just wondering if anyone got their information in the mail. She said orientation would be at the end of next month, I think?
