Kennesaw State Nursing Spring 2015

A forum for students applying to Kennesaw State Nursing School for Spring 2015

I just received my letter... no luck for me this time. (3.2 overall GPA, B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State, 3.4 prerequisites, 88.7 TEAS). Good luck to all of you, though! Hopefully good news is on the way!

I got mail today...I was placed on the standby list ?

@kowen were you placed on the standby list?

@kowen

Quick question! Were you only given a letter for the BSN or was it for the Accelerated program (since you already have a degree)?

I applied to both (because I also have a degree), and was rejected from the BSN program ONLY. It did not say anything about the accelerated...

I applied to both as well and was rejected from the Accelerated. The BSN wasn't mentioned. That could be because I was placed on the standby list for the accelerated program. I'm not really sure though.

@sjones89

You were rejected from the Accelerated and put on the standby list for the Accelerated program?

Yes. So if something comes available and I'm next in line on standby, I will get the spot

@sjones89

I guess my question now is, if I was rejected from the BSN, do I still have a chance at the Accelerated one....Here's to getting through at their office tomorrow. ):

Now that I'm not sure about. I want to say that when I first applied and asked whether or not we would receive letters for our status in both programs I was told that we would only receive one letter. If you receive a rejection letter, although only one program will be mentioned, that letter will address your status for both programs. You may want to call an advisor to get a for sure answer though.

Good luck to everyone still waiting. I received my letter yesterday, i was accepted. I hope to see some of y'all in Spring!

I applied for the traditional and the Accelerated BSN programs, but I only got one letter saying I wasn't admitted for the BSN program. It didn't specify.

@kvs12092 congratulations! Do you mind sharing your stats so the rest of us know what kind of scores may lead to an acceptance? Thanks!
