Kennesaw State Fall 2011

I just applied to Kennesaw State's program for Fall 2011. I thought it would be fun to do a roll call to see who else is out there beginning the waiting game!

Don't worry too much about that OwlExpress trick.

I received my interview letter (for summer) on Nov. 23 but the interview sign ups did not begin until Dec. 6. Our actual interviews were the last week of Jan (due to Christmas break).

ha ha If I was working in the nursing admissions office, I would definately be reading the threads on here! I bet its a huge source of entertainment for them! And they probably need that humor to deal with all of us calling and emailing them asking questions all the time!

I have applied for the Fall 2011 traditional and accelerated programs. This is my second time applying. In the summer, I was just under the cut off for the limit of students that got an interview letter. I really hope I get one this time since they will be admitting a greater amount of students than in the summer. I think it would be more fair if they used a point system also. I honestly don't believe that they "ONLY" take those 5 areas into consideration. I know a couple 4.0 gpa students, with TEAS scores in the low 90s that have never received an interview letter. They have to look at something else. There was even a girl whose stats were lower than mine that just started this January. I'm not going to stress about it, all I can do is hope for the best. I applied twice and got in my second time for this summer. I did interview both times though. I had to retake my TEAS and do better on the interview. It is a point system and you are ranked against everyone else. My advice, get in front of Fran. Make sure she knows your name, knows you and knows you want this....there are hundreds and hundreds that apply at a time and limited space. It can't hurt to just get the conversation going with her. If you don't get an interview, make an appt and ask her what you need to do. She will be very honest with you and let you know if you have a chance and it's worth it. I went to her when I didn't get in the first time and she was extremely helpful. I did everything she said and thank goodness I start this summer! I know it is so stressful but if you want KSU...let them know it! They want to see that drive! Best of luck!!!!

This waiting game is getting to me. I don't have a Plan B. I've got a 3.96 GPA and a 91.3 on the TEAS. RaeMarr- what you said about those other students not getting interviews scares me. Glad I found this board and good luck to all of you! Has anyone done the mock interview yet or are you waiting until you get your letters?

I would guess you have little to worry about with those stats. 3.96!!!! I have a 3.5 and a 90.7. Are you a current Kennesaw student? I have heard that factors in as well. I'm waiting until I get my letter. A mock interview seems pointless until then. Shouldn't be much longer now...(7 days til April 1!)

I am a current KSU student. I think we may have discussed this before in our psych class? I'm just worried about the career services office getting bombarded once the letters are out, since my schedule is kind of tight.

Oh cool. It's possible. I do have online Psych 3305 this semester. Sorry if that sounded crass about the mock interview. It should have said, "A mock interview seems pointless for me...but not necessarily everyone."

Also, regarding Plan B, I put all my eggs in KSU's basket for the fall. But if I don't get in, I'll apply to KSU, GA St., Emory, West GA, GA Highlands, and Chatt Tech in the spring. Good luck!
