I have to idea but what I know is that Kendall Regional is part of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) same company with Aventura Hospital.

I've heard something along those lines, although nothing "official." You might check into the reputation of both HCA and Tenet chains. Both have unfavorable reputations, at least as far as workplaces for nurses. Like everything else, I'm sure it depends on the individual facility.

that is very true. I had a great experience- me being a patient at a tenet facility.

but perhaps some employees are not happy there.

kendall regional hospital just invested millions in revamping there look, adding a new professional building and a new ob suite. it is true that even among fire rescue, they used to be referred to as "killing kendall" but they are trying to live that one down. they have computerized charting, and they were among the first in miami to do this. they are very pro employee though they are biased toward the latin american community. that community makes up a great majority of their patient population. ami kendall ,it is also little known, has a strong cardio dept and were among the first to do open heart and still lead in this area. they have a heart on the side of their building facing the turnpike extension. kendall was first opened by a consortium of cuban doctors who saw a need to serve this community without the bias that the latin american community faced when they first came in the late 50s. my father and grand father were among the first cubans to immigrate to miami during this tumultuous time. anyway, kendall has grown over the years and it has not been without incident, but then no place has a spotless record. if you go to work for an hca facility, you can transfer to any other hca facility in the country and maintain your seniority! they have a website too. google kendall regional medical center because i could not be sure that i would give you the right one. i hope this was a start. remember, do not believe anything you hear and only about half of what you see!:wink2:

My good friend who works there, told me about that. Now they are being written up for every single thing, just because they were called the worst hospital of south florida by the miami herald a few weeks back.

So the patient satisfaction ratio raises up.

I agree with you that no-one facility has a spotless record.+
