Hi, I like to know your experience at the Daytona campus, as I've been accepted. How are the professors seeing that it's a new program there? How is the clinical? So far, I have heard mixed messages and both excited and nervous. I can't wait to hear from you.

Hi there!

I’m s he filed to start in August 2021.  I completed half of the program at the Lakeland campus and 2017/18. Then suddenly, surprise! Your husband’s big cheater and you’re getting a big surprise very contentious still going on nightmare of a divorce with two kids who are now finally old enough to be on their own. I will never regret not being able to complete that program. But, I do have some knowledge and know-how that I learned from there and I really want to know how similar the programs are amongst different campuses. For example, is the uniform the same down to the socks? Is the curriculum the same? Are all the books and other text used the same? What about using electronics in class? Can we record lectures? In Lakeland we couldn’t use any electronics either to record or take notes or do anything. I feel in this day and age that’s kind of archaic for a college level class, but to each their own and perhaps the instructors and Director had good reasons for this that I’m just not aware of. I am hoping that the campus is organized being that it is so new. I know they have the big accreditation with southern states…, But they don’t have any of the other accreditations solidified yet. What do you all think of that? It does concern me a little bit. I am looking to go on to higher education such as my BSN, MSN, CRNA, DNP, or which ever path I choose to follow. The last thing I want would be to get rejected from a program in the future that I really want to get into because the Daytona campus didn’t have all of its proper accreditation at the time I attended. Please, anyone who has thoughts on this please do share with me negative and positive.  How are the clinicals? I really do not want to do any more clinicals in a retirement home. I did plenty of those in my first program and it is just not my jam. Of course I will go where I am expected and where I am needed, but I was told that all of their clinicals are in area hospitals. Have you found that to be true? I’m sure I have a ton of other things I wanna talk about on here so hopefully more people will join. Thank you so much for starting this thread!

Sorry about the typos and mistakes in that, I couldn’t get it edited fast enough to fix. My apologies!

you are fine! You will actually do great. The uniform requested during my cohort was all white top and bottom.  Also clinical was coordinated at Halifax hospital and Florida hospital and no nursing homes. I don't know if they have secured back Florida hospital because previously they had issues with the hospital and we did a rotation of ICU, medsurgical and mother baby intermittently. Textbooks are mandatory bought from the bookshop. Hope I am not missing anything. Ofcourse, you can record lectured and you will always need your laptop for all your ATIs . We had a fear for accreditation but Keiser location is covered cos you can study anywhere or take a BSN with a school accredited with CCNE or ACNE which I have completed and working on my masters presently. Wish you all the best

Goodluck on your education!
