Anyone who is planning to apply or already accepted to August 2021 or January 2022 cohort?

What are some things I should be made aware of? Am I OK to move forward with this program? I've heard that they don't deny anyone is that true?
I’m a student in the program and I can tell you first hand, I had a lot of the same questions and concerns you did when applying here. I did a lot of research before applying so I can answer some of these for you.
First, I think some people have an opinion of it based on the fact that it’s Keiser University which some people equate to University of Phoenix type programs. While there’s nothing wrong with UPhoenix, people don’t consider it effective for teaching stuff like Anesthesia. Keiser is actually a pretty big international school with all kinds of upper level medical programs, CRNA, PA, etc. At the end of the day, it’s an accredited school and will allow you to sit for boards which is most important.
Second, yes there were accreditation issues a few years back, but they’ve since been resolved. The issues weren’t that the school was terrible and risked losing its status. As I understood it, it had something to do with regional accreditation which ALL schools everywhere in the US have to do. So originally the program was apart of FGCU, so they were under FGCUs regional accreditation. Then the school split off to become Wolford, which was its own standalone CRNA school. But because it was a standalone CRNA program only, they had difficulty maintaining all the criteria for regional accreditation which is required of general schools like the ones that have all kinds of programs. Once they joined up with Keiser, those regional issues we’re resolved since it was no longer a standalone program.
Third, I personally know some people who have graduated and have jobs in the field. People in and out of state also. And ask any CRNA currently working, they’ll tell you no one cares where you graduated from. I don’t know about who they’ve denied so I can’t answer that part, but I can tell you that everyone in my class is pretty damn smart. We don’t have anyone in the class who is not deserving of being there, meaning everyone has solid ICU experience, and they’re sharp. From what I’ve heard, they’re interviewing a lot of people for this upcoming class but the max they can accept is 32.
From my own personal experience, I can tell you so far I’m really happy with my decision to come here. The program is hard make no mistake, but it is absolutely doable. The teachers are also nice, they’re not merciless people who will fail you for silly things, they want you to be successful. So far I have zero complaints other than the city of Naples itself which is a bit expensive.
Hope that helps. Sorry for the long reply, I just wanted to put your mind at ease.
Congratulation!! I wouldn’t buy any material/book yet and wait until they tell you which one to buy. And probably someone would have a pdf copy of whatever book you might be needing. The program is HAAARD and you really need to study but it’s doable. It's a front loaded program so it will keep you busy. Brush Up on your anp and pharm. those are classes that will take a lot of your brain cells. You will be fine. Professors are the best here at keiser. And they will help you a lot.

Hello! Congratulations! I started in January & love it so far. The professors are all so great & helpful. I also have not bought one book for any class & am doing very well, BUT, it is difficult. Everything you need to know is in the PowerPoints. The book is just supplemental if you need extra study material. We also have to have a subscription to Apex which is an anesthesia online study guide for the boards. It is helpful with questions and things. They will talk about that when classes begin. As far as studying goes, I find it helpful studying on my own & then getting into study groups to ask questions and talk about concepts. It's also helpful to go back over the PowerPoints once finished with a class to go over the information to better retain and understand everything. Good luck on your interview! Naples is a beautiful place to live!!
