Keiser Accelerated BSN 2016

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all! Is anyone going to be attending Keiser University in 2016? They were just approved for an accelerated BSN program for people with more than 60 credit hours. I am trying to decide between this 16 month program or a much cheaper 24 month community college (SCF/SPC).

I was accepted at the Orlando campus. :)

Yes they will accept you with remaining pre reqs but you do have to take the TEAS before and score high enough to pass their ranges. Once you're accepted into the program you're in, whether or not you have pre reqs or

not. You just have to keep your GPA up or you will not be able to start the core nursing program. They have an interesting admission process, lots of interviews and face to face time with the school and program administration. I really enjoyed it. It is selective but at the same time, they take you as a person into consideration. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I am very interested in this program as well. I would need to relocate though, as I live in MN.

Hey Mini! I know this was posted quite a while ago but I am in the process of getting info from the Sarasota campus for the accelerated BSN! I have my BA already and have taken A&P 1 and 2 with labs, is that all that was required for the program and of course the TEAS test which I will be studying for ASAP! I'm so excited to start I would love to hear how it's going for you! I'm also curious if a lot of it is online!? We are from Tampa but stationed in GA right now, I will go home for the program though as it's only a year and it's my dream! Sorry for all the questions but TIA! :)

I'm currently in Orlando and is interested in the nursing program at Keiser located in Orlando. How is the program? what are your clinical rotations like at the hospitals? I hear that Keiser students have a bad reputation at FH, Orlando health, and other hospitals in Orlando.

I graduated from Keiser April 2017. I had a job at an Orlando health hospital PCU before I graduated. Passed my NCLEX first try. All but one in my class passed first try and she struggle with the language barrier. My friend just graduated Dec 2017 from keiser and he went straight to ICU at an Orlando health hospital. 10 months into PCU I am now working ICU. We had a great reputation at all the FH campuses we went to. We were knowledgeable and also had the most hands on clinical hours (from my understanding other schools use more SIM hrs than we did to supplement clinical hour requirements). Most of my friends are working at Florida hospital. I didn't want to sign a contract so I opted out of FH.
