Keeping a patient from falling

I know if I fell I would not expect a person to be able to catch me and prevent me from falling because I would probably injure them due to my weight that I am at right now. I would however expect them to try to let me down gently using whatever technique is proper. I would feel so bad if I injured someone on the job when they were trying to keep me from being injured. This is a person that has caught their mom a lot and she is only 5'2 and at the time she weighed only like 110 pounds due to being so sick. So I know what you people are talking about since I am not even a nursing student yet. I had to have a nurse teach me the proper technique before they would even let my mom go home with me from the hospital. If only that was the proctol for all hospitals....
