KCC ADN FALL 2016

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the upcoming ADN program at KCC. I'm not feeling very confident in my stats and I was hoping for your thoughts on the how likely it is I was accepted. I understand it definitely depends on the competition but based on anyone's experience, I'd love some feedback.

prereq GPA- 4.0

coprereq GPA- 4.0 (Pharm 203 & Humanity completed)

TEAS- 72%, the math killed me because I was taking too long and wasn't able to finish.

Certified phlebotomist and work experience with direct patient care.

I have a feeling I won't get accepted because my teas score but let me know your thoughts! Thanks :)

Hi amv12!

Our pre-req. GPA are the same & our TEAS scores are almost similar. I'm not really that confident too because other people told me that we're competing with students with a high GPA + high TEAS score + experience.

Right! The counselor told me that competition TEAS scores were in the 80s. Let's just cross out fingers!! Good luck :)

Hi Everyone,

I submitted my app for fall and I am ready to be done with this wait! Amv12, I totally know what you mean about the math. I couldn't finish and did horribly on that portion of the test. I practically started balling in the middle of the testing center.... But I pulled myself together for the other three sections and came away with a decent score.

My stats are:

Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Co-req GPA: still working on pharm (will probably get an A unless I totally bomb the final) and I have a B for my humanities class.

TEAS: 85

Medical experience: none, but I am just wrapping up my CNA course at KCC. If I don't get in for this round, it will help me for the next round.

Good luck to all!

how'd your application go, guys?

I just completed my pre-req this semester, and is enrolled for the pharm 203 for summer.

I am planning to apply for the Spring 2017 program.

Hi! I was accepted into the upcoming ADN program :) Who are you taking for Pharm? Good luck! :)

Congratulations Amv12.

I am taking Mr. Farmer's pharm 203 class. I chose the STT CBL.

Hi Everyone,

I am now Alt listed for Fall 2016! I am looking forward to attending orientation next week and seeing some of you there. I am done with co-reqs, so I am going to take the summer off school and just work.

Good luck to all and see some of you next week!

Good for you littelbear'smama. You can apply for a CNA position and gain more exp.

But how will that work if you are on the Atl list?

Lynm13 - I have a per diem position at a local hospital, and I can tailor my hours to whatever school schedule ends up happening in the next few months. It's a really good gig.

Oh nice.

Do you happen to know how many students they have accepted for the Fall? and how many are on the Alt list?
