Hello everyone this is my first post and I am so nervous. I recently passed my sci 25 class and pretty much pass all pre requisites with a good grade. I also took my TEAS exam and got a proficient score. I also tried contacting the nursing department to see if they can break down what qualifies you to get accepted into nursing clinicals. They said I have to wait three weeks this is torture!!!! Is anyone else going through the same pain and anxiety lol

I was told the same they told me she will be there this evening from 4-8 idk why she is the only person that can give us clearance and she is only there during the evening. Have you purchased any books/supplies yet?

Does that mean we can only pick up the clearance in the evening?I purchased the required textbooks for Nur 17& 18 lab coat and stephoscope

mines is august 24th, from 9-10am don't know if its the same time for people scheduled for 23rd, I also haven't gotten my clearance yet she's been on vacation since lastweek I was told, @tasham328 where did u buy the labcoat any specifications, and is it just any stethoscope or they have a recommended one.

Mines was today, it was ok. Just a simple overview of blackboard and also how to access databases on the library website. @Sherii2017, I ordered it on amazon, I got a regular stephoscope which goes with blood pressure cuffs

yes i went to the health office today they had it ready and i dropped off all my paperwork at the nursing office so i am all set. If you have time before orientation you can go to the health office and pick it up only thing i didn't do was make copies of it which i regret so before handing yours in make a copy or a few. Also bring in a copy of your flu shot and whatever paper they sent in the packet for the flu shot that has to filled out by either your dr/pharmacy wherever you got the flu shot. They also want a copy of your cpr cert. they have nursing patches($8 plus tax each) in the book store that you will have to either sew or iron on sewing is recommended on your uniform they will notify us of where to buy our scrubs on tuesday apparently the scrub set has many pockets so that is why they are so specific we will be using all of them lol.

Hi, it's definitely a very demanding course. I hardly used the textbook. My professor gave out her own notes and homework and the best advice is brush up on your algebra, practice questions on your own, try the tutoring it helped me, I watched youtube videos, Also read the questions carefully they will tell you exactly what you need to look for and that's important when it comes down to which forumla you have to use. about 90% of the students in class do not pass the first exam. I didn't pass my first test and thought it was over, but just keep practicing the formulas draw out problems if you have to some people are visual learners. Who is your prof?

@Dmarie149 I used mostly you tube videos, check out the guy called JG on youtube I learnt dimensional analysis thru him, just type in whatever your topic. btw are u doing the Saturday class?
