So after researching for quite some time the husband and i have finally narrowed down what part of texas we want to move to...We have decided to live in the Houston area...we are an interracial couple with a 6yr old and chose houston for its diversity...my question is this..by the time we move (approx 1 - 1/2yrs)...i am hoping to have 1-1 1/2 yrs of med surg exp...the hubs would be a new grad at that point (god willing) and all works out..these two areas are very "family oriented" and seem to have a decent commute to major hospitals in houston...well i guess it would depend on which area...i know katy has a straight shot into houston...the hubby and i would not mind commuting 30-45 min to our jobs...can someone tell me what an RN ADN with 1- 1 half yrs exp in med-surg can expect??...and for a new grad as well?...ive been hearing alot of different numbers...ive heard 70k for med-surg 80k for ER etc etc and then im hearing 24/25...i just need some clarification...any info would be GREATLY appreciated thanks in advance!!:heartbeat
