I've read some post here that the Qtrainer is helpful. Can i purchase the Qtrainer only and not the whole program from kaplan?

I'm planning to purchase kaplan's Qbank, is the Qtrainer integrated with the Qbank? thanks

you can get the q-bank for 299 I think go to their website

Thanks for the reply. Yep, I've been to their website and even sent them 3 emails with no reply! 299 dollars for 1000 questions is quite expensive, but if the Qbank comes with the question trainer, i might purchase it.

So, does the Qbank comes with the Qtrainer? or do i have to purchase KAPLAN full to have access to the question trainer. thanks

I believe to get the Question Trainer you would actually need to buy RN Online Complete.

i also think you have to purchase the entire program to get the trainers....i will say that i thought the qbank was the most helpful thing in studying, because it was easy to sit down and take a "test" of however many questions i wanted (5-50) and then review it. i believe you can also take a test on pharmacology only. as many people will point out, look at it as an investment for your future nursing career.

however, if you still feel qbank is out of your price range, i also found the Saunders Q&A book (its green, not the same as the Saunders review) quite helpful. i didn't like Saunders review so much, found the whole thing a bit more overwhelming but thought the Q&A was easier to go through. i used the book when i needed to get out of my apartment to study elsewhere or just couldn't look at the computer and use qbank anymore. i think its well-done, has easy to understand rationales, and the questions to me seemed to be on par with kaplans. i'm not sure how much it costs (got it for christmas) but i know its available at barnes & noble, borders, etc.

good luck!

I did the kaplan in class, and the complete online trainer, which had the qbank and the question trainers!!

I spent $399 on it and it was the best money i've ever spent. Expensive yes, but to me it was worth every penny. The question trainers and the qbank question are very similar to the ones that you will see on the acutal test at least it was that way for me. You get used to priority questions, and how to answer them and every question they have rational's for as to why this comes before that!!

The hospital i am going to be working for is reimbursing me for the cost of the class, but even if they weren't i would have still forked over the money.

I took the nclex on the july 9th and found out july 10th that i passed. i start work on the 23rd!! i had 75 questions and it took me about an hour and a half which was typical of the time i spent on 75 questions on the kaplan website!!

i recomend it to anyone, you don't have to spend all that money to pass it though!!

Thanks for the replies! I think i have to stick with my saunders book for now as kaplan complete is quite expensive (USD 618) I'll buy the kaplan books though.

I've purchased Qbank from Kaplan for $109 which is for LVN
