I was wondering what you guys think of the Kaplan review course. My school is offering it for 300$. Unfortunetly I can't afford it:( Im so poor. Almost everyone else in my class is taking it. I will be devastated if I don't pass NCLEX and i didn't take Kaplan. For those of you who have taken it, what did you think?? I ordered the book offline so i'm hoping it has most of the same stuff in it. I'm so nervous about NCLEX..im not a great standardized tester. The one problem I had was that it wasn't a content review...but I heard it does give good stratagies...sigh...

I took the Kaplan course to prep for NCLEX when I was a new grad and I am going to concur with what others have said here about this course---save your money. Their Question Bank CD was very good but it is very expensive. I would not recommend spending $300-$400 on their review course because I didn't think it was worth the money. The course=you will take a pre course test, then a reviewer will go over questions with you and review strategies for choosing the right answers. You can get the same thing from the Kaplan or Saunders NCLEX review books, both are good but Saunders is better. Better still, borrow it from the local library and you won't have to pay a cent.

From reading other posts in the student forum, many students use Suzanne4's NCLEX prep. They give her rave reviews and seem to do well on the NCLEX. If you really want to do a review PM her for some info.
