Hello hgigant ~
After you passed the Kaplan course did you have to obtain your own preceptorship/orientation? If so, how did you go about it and where? (I'm in Texas, renewing my RN license and having a hard time getting someone to preceptor me for the 80 hours the TX BON requires)
Would love to get some advice.
Thank you!!
@SGtex hi just want to know if you have any idea what is cgfns-ces which the state of texas is requiring for foreign nurses? Tnx
CGFNS-CES is an evaluation of your foreign transcripts and credentials for you to qualify to take the NCLEX.It determines if your foreign degree is equivalent to US ADN or BSN degree.

Wow tnx! They said it is conducted online? Is that true? So how are they going to evaluate my credentials online? So most definitely its not an exam..the word "cgfns" makes me think its an exam..:)

You can apply for it online, but the forms from your nursing school and PRC need to be sent by postal mail. CGFNS also does a certification program, or CP, which consists of the CES, the CGFNS exam, and an English exam.
70ish on Kaplan, 80ish on Saunders. Passed at 75 items.
