So I just wanted to post about the Kaplan RN entrance exam because, I couldn't find a lot of info on it through this website. Mostly just people posting about their results and what not. I took the TEAS once and the Kaplan test 3 times. I failed the TEAS once and failed Kaplan twice.
the book Kaplan provides isn't sufficient to pass the science portion in my opinion and could almost be considered a fact. I took all my bios including A&P classes and still failed.
I did a little research after failing these test 3 times and found a post that said to buy another book like A&P for dummies or Barons EZ A&P.
I took Kaplan test this morn and passed with an overall of 85%, my school looks at individual scores of the sections, but I won't get to much into that since I'm in Las Vegas and schools vary on what they require. What I did and what my advice is to take your test scores from Kaplan and look at what you are being tested on in the science portion I.e cardiovascular , electrolytes, etc (my test scores had each section broken down like this and showed how many questions you got wrong for each section in the science portion) and buy this barons book and only study those chapters, do the review sections in the back of each chapter. Also, study the reading, writing, and math section in the Kaplan book. This is the key to passing this test if you are having trouble passing like I did.
this barons book is around 16 bucks and I order it from amazon, received about two days later. This book was my bread and butter as far as studying goes. It's easy to read and really helped lol obviously I passed the test. Anyway good luck to anyone who is having issues with the test and get this book! It really helped me lol I prayed a lot also 😂

Thanks for sharing. I'm planning to take the Kaplan early next year.
