Kaplan Entrance Exam

Published

Hi! I am currently an LPN that has registered to take the Kaplan entrance exam for Moraine Valley College at the end of April. I was curious for those who have applied to their LPN-RN bridge program what study materials did you use. I have heard conflicting stories regarding how the exam is formatted and that it varies between schools in general. I've been told some schools use an NCLEX assessment based style and others just focus completely on physiology. I'm not looking for test specifics just what helped you succeed at passing the exam. Thank you to all that reply.

I’ve never taken Hesi or Teas, but the Kaplan was not too bad.

@China84LPN who are you!? LoL Did I meet you in school?

Heyy! It’s really not too bad, you could be over studying.. from what I remember, its pretty general. I do remember there being some ethics and BON laws. Good luck!

Thank you Dainrielle, my heart just dropped a little bit cause I haven’t seen anything on either of those topics ?

You are taking the transitions test right?

No the entrance exam. I’m so sorry I spelled your name wrong damn auto correct !!!

@Ammerlucci

Yes, I understood. What I mean is, are you transitioning from LPN to RN? If so, you may already know the material, even though it isn’t in those prep books! ?

I can’t say enough how nice everyone is on these forms, I’m sorry if I confused you I’m taking the Kaplan entrance exam to get into nursing school, I’ve had a long rough road but still pushing through, so I was finally given the chance to take my entrance exam.
