Hello, I was wondering if anyone had applied to Kaplan College San Diego's RN program for 2015. I am curious as to what your KTP scores were so that I can get a general consensus of around what score they are accepting applicants. I know other factors are taken into consideration such as prior Kaplan grad, wonderlic score, work experience and etc. I am curious because I just got denied with a really good score and just cant wrap my head around it. Thanks for your help guys!
Has anyone applied to the adn program with a score less than 90% on the KTP ?
I emailed the lady, she said the list isn't out yet but would most likely get in. That was a week ago...
Also this is my second time applying, the first time I applied with an 86 on KTP as an alternate but had to decline to go. I applied with a 95 this time.
Ok thank you. This will be my second time taking it. I'm reviewing decimals and fractions like crazy. Just nervous I won't get a 90%. I was told that they are only accepting applicants with 90% and higher on the KTP which I think sucks. I have lots of nursing experience and I passed my LVN program with a high GPA.
I don't think it's that they don't accept people with less than a 90. Maybe it's the competition. But I do know that a lot of people that get in, don't end up going because of the cost. Therefor most alternates get in also.
I really think something is going on that they are not telling the students. Start date is 2 weeks away and no one has received an answer. This is a big deal and they are not allowing people enough time to make adjustments. Works, kids.....
I just wish they would be honest and let people know.

i don't think they only accept people with 90% theres also other things they take into consideration as well and I'm sure they will look at your experience. good luck!
Hi, I also sent email last week and Patty said that they already selected top 45 people and I was in one of them. She doesn't confirm me if I got in or not though since she didn't have a definite answer.
I think all of us that haven't received a call have gotten the same response: that they can't give us a definite answer yet. my only concern is if they already selected the top 45 then how come no one has received an acceptance call? I know people have received rejection calls because my friend got one. has anyone talked to them this week?
Yes! I was told the same thing! That I would "probably" get in since I was within the top 45. But the list wasn't out yet. My friend called today and they told her the list wasn't out yet!
Do you guys think they will push back the start date? I think this is the first class that the are "implementing changes"
And nursebonita this is for generic adn.
I have also gotten conflicting answers as to how long the program is. I've heard 17 months if I have pre reqs. 20 without.
