Kaplan college san diego adn rn admission

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had applied to Kaplan College San Diego's RN program for 2015. I am curious as to what your KTP scores were so that I can get a general consensus of around what score they are accepting applicants. I know other factors are taken into consideration such as prior Kaplan grad, wonderlic score, work experience and etc. I am curious because I just got denied with a really good score and just cant wrap my head around it. Thanks for your help guys!

Hi, did u ever get a reply about whats on the test? I just took it 2 weeks ago and got a horrible score. I studied for months and frankly what they told me to study was NOT on there. I got a 55 on math and a 77 in english. Have u taken it yet?

Hi what did u study for when u took the KPT?

Hi I'm not sure if u are asking me but I focused on basics. Decimals, fractions, percentages, adding subtracting multiplying and dividing all of those. Also basic medication math scenario questions. There's not really a way to study for the English part, just take your time to read and reread the passages and questions. Hope that helps.

Hi thanks that helps a lot. Not sure who i was asking really ahhaha, just hoping someone would reply. :)

Haha good luck

How is the program going for you all? I'm in the PCT program and considering applying for the March 2017 start. I already have a good chuck of prereqs so it wouldnt even be the full 21 months for me should I get accepted. Having a hard time justifying paying $57K for an ADN.

You will still have to do 20 months, however your schedule might not be as full as other students. I have mixed feeing about the program but it's going to get me to where I need to be. I tried community college before this but was impossible to get in.

What mixed feelings do you have if you don't mind me asking?

Organization, last minute schedule changes.... Teacher availability

Interesting. Yea I was reading how you guys had to wait till 2 weeks before the start date to find out if you were accepted. That worried me b/c that's basically no consideration for those who need to find a new job to accommodate the school schedule and or set up daycare
