Kaplan College ADN SD May 2014

Has anyone else gotten their phone call about being accepted into the May 2014 ADN program at Kaplan? I got my phone call yesterday morning! I was so thrilled! I meet with my advisor on Thursday to go over all the paperwork and get everything moving! I can't believe it is finally happening!!!! I would love to know of anyone else who is going to be in the same cohort!

I got in!!! Yay!! Has anyone met with the DON yet and got there schedules? I already did all my prerequisites as well. I meet with her on may 6 very excited!! You should ask them if the courses will transfer them they will have to evaluate them.

How many classes are taking the first term dpemt?

I don't have my schedule yet. But based on the financial aid meeting I'm taking one 2-3 units first semester and 6 units second semester, so one class first semester 3 classes second semester. But we get our schedules in a few weeks and that's when I'll know for sure.

Congratulations! I will be going to some mandatory nursing info session on Tuesday. Then i must bring my transcript for them to be evaluated by the nursing reps.

i just wondering if anyone was able to transfer core nursing classes.

I don't know too much about transfering in core nursing classes regulations, but I do know that LVNs are able to transfer some nursing classes like pharmacology and a few basic nursing courses. So there is a possibility you can transfer them.

Congrats! I think the meetings with the DON start on Monday. We should find out our schedules when we meet with her. I met with Financial Aid last week to finish up some paperwork & tried to see if I could get my schedule then but they told me I'll find out soon enough.

Hi, Sam! My name is Rose. I was trying to get into the Sep 2014 program, but I didn't do very well on the reading section for the KTP. I am going to wait to retake it next year. Do you have any suggestions on how to prepare for the reading? I am also graduated from Kaplan with my LVN back in 2007.

How Is the Program So far?? What are the class hours!?? I will be applying in December! Is it doable for a mom with a toddler??
