Hey anyone out there applying for the LVN to RN bridge for Kaplan?

Hello IM not applying to lvn RN bridge but am applying for lvn in SD IM scheduled to take the ktp this week, what have you got done so far?

I've done the ktp and sle and l have everything ready for my app just waiting for the call letting me know i can turn it in. If you score high enough you just apply for the RN program. I did the LVN program there and if loved it. Now I'm going for my RN because I want to pursue my speciality

That's great! I wish i could do straight RN but i need the evening classes IM hoping to apply for Sep if everything goes well with the ktp do you think the ktp is as easy as the study guide they give you?

Yes it is. The ready is questioned a bit different though. But math part is right on. A lot of conversions and fractions and a couple of word problems. A couple of questions from the math section is actually on the test.

Hi Porcheb803b,

I just did the wonderlic exam and I got the study guide for the ktp exam. I have gone through the guide and was wondering how hard is the exam.do i need to use any other outside material besides the guide to prepare for the exam or is the study guide enough? I want to do my best with just one try if possible. Please advice. Thank you

Throw the study guide in the trash right now! On the study guide they make it seem incredibly easy but its not ,i recommended buying the pre nursing Kaplan book at Barnes and nobles the test will be exactly like that i passed by the skin of my teeth because i was not prepared i thought it would be like the study guide but it wasn't not even in the slightest way ....gl

Hi I am an LVN gran from Kaplan and I do plan to take the KTP exam. Did you take your exam yet? Any advice on the reading section?

Yes I have taken it. Study the guide they give you. There is some sites online that offer free practice questions. Google sample sat reading or math testS

Hello,

I graduated from the MA program at Kaplan and applied for the ADN program this September. I should find out this next week or two if I will get accepted. Hopefully you have already tested on the KTP and the Wonderlic because the deadline is 07/14.

I too got the pre-nursing book at barnes and noble before I tested and it may have helped a bit.
