I had my RN license revoked 1/20/2012. I have worked hard at getting my life back on track. I just got my license reinstated. Now I am having a tough time finding a job. 6 month narcotic key restriction. I am very motivated and regularly attending 12step meetings.... Any job help or suggestions. New to this site.

Welcome tcutshaw! You will find many people here open and willing to help! A lot of nurses here have had good luck in dialysis and long term care. A few had found a home in psychiatric. I know for my state, Alaska, nurses in recovery are welcomed by state run programs, i.e. the native hospital, psychiatric hospital, rehab facilities, and a couple i know are working at the vet hospital.

Keep in mind that many jobs look at the reinstatement as your recovery date (or seem to anyways). A friend of mine applied to the same jobs at three months, six months, and then bam! At nine months got two job offers from positions she had applied to before. Keep your head up, this is all a process. In the meantime if you haven't already got one, find a job outside of nursing until your nursing job comes along, and it will!
