Kaiser Permanente SoCal July cohort

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.

Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.

The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃

I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

For who got an interview appointment, do we need to prepare a ppt or presentation for the interview?

Has anyone heard from Downey L&D?

I haven't heard from them, and from what I have seen on this thread, I don't think anyone else has either :( hoping that we hear something soon!

Last cohort I didn't get a call from Downey until 2 days before the end of the 2 weeks window that they were calling people for interviews.   Breathe in and out, try to distract yourself.  And good luck!!

Anyone heard back from San Diego?

Has anyone heard back from West LA or South Bay?

Fontana started calling. I got called today

I got a call from Woodland Hills!

I'm an extremely anxious interviewer and feel that I often don't get jobs because of it 😞 Does anyone have any tips/more in-depth information about their interviews and what to expect?

Specializes in ED.

Your gonna do great!
what has helped me is I have a little book that has my resume and notepad on one side. so I can just rehearse the answers to questions I think they might ask.

I write down my generic question and how I would answer them. Practice out loud or with a friend so you see how it sounds

I also do question I'd like to ask the end of interview.  I practice those aswell

for example

tell me about yourself?
that's where I kinda outline a little bit about myself and jobs and what I would I love this opportunity

it just helps kinda get you set for how you can answer and what you might need to fix. This seems to always help me. I hope it helps you.

I also use the notepad to write things the interviewers are saying so I look up and down when I'm writing so I can just jot important things I hear

Thank you. I'm nervous and excited. I am internal. Interviews aren't for a couple weeks so I'm sure more calls are coming.
