Kaiser Permanente SoCal July cohort

Updated:   Published

What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.

Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.

The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃

I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

did you guys know that if you don't want to help someone, you can just not respond and say nothing. 😮 ikr

Yep. Nursing is built on the foundation of teamwork! Not sure why that user is so against another individual seeking help. Good luck EVERYONE on this thread 😊❤️

Hi. I interviewed yesterday, it was a six and a half hour process, and I did not get chosen. I think they knew who they were going to pick before we even went in. No labor and delivery questions, they told us that they didn't expect us to know a lot about labor and delivery because it was so specialized and we would get tons of training.

It was mostly questions like what are your strengths? What are your weaknesses? Tell us about a time that you had to deal with angry patients. What do you do when you disagree with a coworker, doctor, manager.

They will have you give a group presentation, but they choose the topics and it's different for each group.

The topics are not at all anything that you need to prepare for more like common sense stuff, like don't film TikToks at jobs type stuff.

Make sure you prepare some good questions for them. Try not to be too nervous, at the end of the day even those of us that don't get picked got some good interview practice.

I will also add. They said KP labor and delivery is huge on team nursing, it is the foundation of their entire department. They want to choose people that will work well in a team.

Thank you so much for all of the great information.

Does anyone know when is the next cohort?

Anyone who interviewed with Anaheim ask how many spots there are or when we might hear back?

Hey! I was wondering if you saw a post somewhere, or did you hear it from someone you connected with during the interview?
