Kaiser Permanente Program 2016

Published

Hello all Pre-SRNA's!

Who here is applying to Kaiser's School of Anesthesia, starting in 2016?

We should keep in touch and share any interview tips, and keep each other up to date on requirements.

Hope to meet you all soon, and hope we all get in! :)

Their site (FAQ) says they do not give preference to Kaiser employees.

Congrats RN_LA! If you don't mind sharing, what were your stats? Thanks and congrats again

Let's see, stats....

6 years experience, last 4 in ICU, most recently cardiac surgery ICU (valves/CABG/transplant/etc)

ADN with honors, BSN Summa Cum Laude

CCRN-CSC (cardiac surgery certification, a subspecialty of CCRN)

TNCC

ACLS instructor

bilingual

project leader on IPE (improving patient experience) committee

long-time volunteer

I know some of these things don't seem that note-worthy, but I feel like this is what KP, specifically, looks at. I know they strongly prefer bilingual candidates and I have heard they really look at your community service as well.

Sorry for the delay in responding! Good luck to everyone!

Oh man I'd be so nervous!!! Those of you that have interviewed... How did it go???? Are they tough as nails????

Hi! My D-day is on the 10th! have prepared myself as best as I possibly can, how did your interview go?! I keep hearing that its mostly non-clinical questions-was it true in your case? Thanks in advance :)

Just go my acceptance email! Hope to see you guys in August!

Already?! Wow, congrats!! Anyone else heard back?

Congrats dparn! Are you local?

Sadly, I was rejected, but not to worry, I don't live in a tall building or near a bridge ;-)

Best of luck to everyone still waiting and keep the rest of us poor saps updated with your awesome qualifications so that we can do better next time around!!

Long story short.. I was also accepted!

I was accepted today as well! Congrats to everyone that has been so far! As soon as I figure out how to private message you electronsi00, I'll do so, as I'd love to get to know my future classmates more!

P.S. looks like I am unable to PM you electronsi00, as I have not posted 15 times. Feel free to PM me if you are able.
