Kaiser Permanente Program 2016

Hello all Pre-SRNA's!

Who here is applying to Kaiser's School of Anesthesia, starting in 2016?

We should keep in touch and share any interview tips, and keep each other up to date on requirements.

Hope to meet you all soon, and hope we all get in! :)

No email yet. Will keep posting here.

Hello everyone!!! I applied as well and have heard nothing. Please post any updates. I am getting nervous because it's already mid-December, but so far I haven't seen any posts or heard about anyone getting an interview yet. Still hopeful and praying for some good news.

Hello All! I applied as well and have been eagerly waiting for email response. Nothing yet. I applied couple years back when I had one year experience and received a rejection letter on December 17th. As for this application period, I have not heard anything yet! Good luck to all! I will be checking back frequently for updates and post any updates or good info I receive.

I also applied and have not heard anything. I will keep you guys informed as well. Good Luck!!! :)

Just curious to those that applied -

What were your stats upon applying?

I'm still waiting to hear something as well. I was really planning on hearing something by the end of this week so that I could get the time off for an interview. Hopefully someone will mention on here if anyone gets any kind of news.

My stats:

3 years in a 36 bed mixed medical/surgical ICU in a 600+ bed teaching hospital and level 1 trauma center

We do liver/kidney transplants, CVVHD, recover open hearts, general surgery, and take anything else except burns.

A month ago I became a traveler and I'm working in an ICU at Johns Hopkins currently

BSN with 3.8 GPA

CCRN and TNCC

Charge nurse

Preceptor

I was on both unit based and hospital wide committees

I volunteer as a nurse at camp for kids with spina bifida every year for a week

Overall I feel like I'm a good enough candidate to at least get an interview. So I hope we hear something soon.

My Stats:

2 and a half years CVICU at a level 1 trauma hospital

Charge Nurse

Preceptor

BSN GPA 3.7

Good stats people! Now we just need to knock out the interview.

Me:

6 years of nursing, 4 of which is neuroscience and trauma ICU in a level 2

3.98 GPA

CCRN

Charge and Preceptor

Unit Council

Volunteering at high schools

Have not received email notification yet. Good luck to everyone!

Hello all!! I also applied to the KP CRNA program and haven't heard a word. From my internet "research", it looks like last year's people didn't hear until mid-January, so...

This is my first time applying and I'm extremely nervous about the interview, should I get one. My friend interviewed last year and said they had a group of applicants work together on a trauma simulation and they were asked things like what IV fluids you would give and why, at what dose you would start Dopamine, when and by how much would you increase the dose, etc.

Anyway, if anyone gets an email, please share so that the rest of us can spend every waking hour obsessing!!!! Thanks!
