Just wait for your results!

I am writing this to help out fellow NCLEX takers. I graduated nursing school on September 20th 2016. I scheduled my NCLEX for as soon as I could thinking that all my hard work in nursing school would carry me through the test. I was set to take my test on the 3rd of October. I went in somewhat confident. As I got close to the 75 question mark I was getting excited thinking it would shut off. It went past the 75, past the 100, past the 200, past 250 and finally shut off at 262. I was devastated. Everything I had "heard" was that the more questions you get the more likely you are to fail. I was a mess. I left and sat in the parking lot googling "How to know if you passed or failed the NCLEX." I did the stupid Pearson Vue "trick" and it let me register, I read posts from people saying they took 260-265 and all failed. I knew I failed. I was obsessed with googling for the next 48 hours (my state has the quick results). I told my husband I was going to have to retake it. I told my family and friends I failed. I was sick to my stomach for the two days before it became official that I failed. Today at 2pm, exactly 48 hours after starting the hardest test I've ever taken my results were up. I had checked at least 100 times in the 48 hours and for some reason now that they were posted I couldn't bring myself to look at them. I didn't want the "fail" to be real. I finally got up the nerve to do it and low and behold, I passed. Why did I write all this just to tell you I passed!? Because I stressed myself out to the point of being sick because of what others had said happened to them or people they know. It doesn't matter...it doesn't matter how many or how few questions you take, the Pearson Vue trick is a joke. Don't search for your license on your state board of license site because it takes up to 6 weeks to post on there...don't try to do anything to find out your results before they come out because I promise you that it will only make you feel much worse. There is nothing you can do after the test to change what will happen. Stressing yourself out by reading stuff others post that says they failed after taking all 265 is literally pointless because every person is different and the computer judges each person individually. Maybe the one person whose shut off at 80 shut off because they got the majority of the questions wrong. You don't know so please save yourself some time and worrying by just hanging in there and waiting for the results to post! Good luck to everyone!

Trick before 24 hours isn't always accurate. That's why you wait after 24 hours after your exam to do it. Most people who say they failed and later passed is because they did the trick a few hours after their exam.

If you get the bad pop up 24 hours later, most likely you've failed.

Ya I did the trick 36 hours after and it let me register

The PVT works if you passed. IE, if you can't register again, it's 100% you have passed. No one has ever said they couldn't register again and actually failed.

But the opposite is untrue. There have been numerous people who reported getting the bad pop up and ended up passing. So don't say it's a joke cause it will cast doubt on people who did pass and are unable to register again. And they're just as anxious as you are to receive their results.

Hi just want to find out when you re-registered did you had to pay the $200? And did you receive the receipt in your email?
