Just took the NCLEX. Terrified I failed.

Published

So I just took the NCLEX today at 8 a.m. Really afraid I failed. It shut off at 75 questions and I got about 30 SATA (I kept track). I had no med math or any hotspot questions or drag and drop, etc. I honestly felt like I was getting them all wrong, especially the SATA. And then at one point I had a question that was DUH easy that I realized I must not be doing very well for it to give me such an easy question. I mean, it was so easy that anyone off the street would know the correct answer. Anyone else have a question on their NCLEX that was like DUH???

I have done the Pearson Vue Trick and I got the good popup, but then was privately messaged by someone who told me when she took the NCLEX she was stopped at 75 as well and got a good popup but failed.

So whereas before I had a little hope, now I have none and I am just extremely stressed. I am so sure I failed. And then I also looked a couple questions up that I was curious about afterward and know I got those questions wrong and that just made me feel worse. lol

I am trying to have hope, but I know that any number of SATA does not mean anything and also the pearson vue trick obviously doesn't mean anything either.

Anyone else feel like they were getting all of the questions wrong but still passed? I can say I only honestly knew a couple of the SATA and the others I felt like I was making educated GUESSES and there were 30 of them!!! Not good. And some of the questions were of content that we never went over in school. :-\

How am I supposed to wait 24 to 48 hours to get my answer without going crazy?

Keep calm. I've never heard of anyone who got a good pop up and failed. Check out all the threads here I have yet to see one so be patient.

I took mine today and felt the same way throughout the test. My screen went blue after 79. I didn't have as many SATA as I had anticipated. Maybe 30% of my questions were SATA. I had one dosage calc. There were 2 or 3 that I was truly confident about. Most felt like educated guessing!

How far do you have to go to do the Pearson Vue trick? It was about to let me enter my Credit Card and I backed out. I am afraid it will let me pay. I am going to go crazy waiting.

You're supposed to put in the right CC number but the wrong expiration and press Submit. If you get the "good pop up", it shouldn't matter whether the CC info is right/wrong.

And pertaining to the original poster, I passed and I found out earlier this morning so the PVT works as far as I'm concerned.

I talked myself into doing it and I got the "good" pop-up! At least I have hope! :)

haha it's scary when you first do it but such a reliever once you see the good pop up.. congrats, you basically passed.

I have heard it!

Well, I will be able to check if I passed/failed tomorrow morning. If I don't pass, then the PVT does not work like everyone thinks it does.

:-\

Praying it does work!!!!

Waiting patiently on your results! :wideyed:

I did get a duh question, yes. But when I asked my friend (the topic, NOT the question) she gave a completely different answer. So duh for one may not be obvious to others.

There's no possible way to know the difficulty level. Some of my questions were literally one sentence long, yet I passed in 75.

I PASSED!!!!!!!!

I guess the PVT works!!!!!

I am so relieved. That was the worst 48 hours of my life waiting for those results!!!!!
