Just took the HESI exam for St. Pauls in Staten Island

Hi everyone. I just took the HESI exam for St. Pauls in Staten Island on October 7th, 2010. Okay, so far I passed the exam and now I am waiting to see if I get accepted into the Nursing Program for the Spring 2011. Is anyone else in the same boat?

So, nervous here. I want this so badly.

The reading and vocabulary was pretty easy. It's basic reading comprehension and some nursing terminology. As long as you study the HESI review book you should be fine. The little hints they give you in the review book are like so helpful. Memorize the HESI hints are you will def. pass. :)

Since english is not my first language, so I am a little bit worried about the vocabulary section. Is it enough to just study the vocabs from HESI review book?

I recommend b/c your first language is not english to def use the review book and study sentence structure and using the right vocabulary. For example, the difference between the word, among and between, there and their stuff like that. When it comes to the nursing vocabulary, def. study the vocab section. When I took the exam most of the terms where from the book. You do however have terms that are not in the review book. But for the most part is pretty straight foward.

hey , just to answer your question- the exam has 1 part math 55 questions, 3 parts english each 55 questions . THe total amount of time they give is 4 hrs but you will probably finish earlier .

No I haven't taken the NLN. But yeah it does suck that every school has a different exam. I know that the College of Staten Island you need to take the NLN and it's very hard. Sorry I couldn't be more useful. From what I remember the NLN has Anatomy and Psy/medical dosage etc.

Hey , how are ya? i just wanted to tell you that i called the office today and they said " we send out a lot of things out this week and the rest will be next week so you will probably fiend out by the end of next week" . I still did not get anything in the mail .... How about you, any news?:clown:

Did you take the Hesi exam on October 7th? Cause they told me they are reviewing the applications of the people that took the exam before I did. Once the letters get sent out they will start reviewing the other batch or something like that.

Interesting. Well best of luck. I just want to know why the advisor told me that they haven't reviewed my application yet. I am so nervous. I want to know already. But I'll def keep you posted.

I know that the people that took the exam before us are starting to get their acceptance or denied letters. I am so nervous. I can't wait lol

Well I called Admission and they told me they sent out letters and I should be getting a letter from the school between 2-3 days stating on whether or not I was accepted. Have you heard anything ?

I got Accepted into the St Paul's.. Yay

HEYYYY so did I !!! are you going to do night or morning ???? DID you give a deposit yet? i still haave to go do all the paper work and by the time i got the letter from them they only had night open....
