Just started my first nursing job last week, is it too early to put it on my resume?

Hi Everyone,

I just started my first nursing job last week. I am so excited, it took me so long to find a nursing job! I am working at a flu shot clinic, so it is only a temporary position. Is it too early to put this job on my resume that I am sending out for other permanent nursing positions? I updated my resume today, but it looked weird to me because I have only been there a week. It may be in my head, but I'm not sure.

I dont think it can hurt me to put it on there. It is not much experience, but its something. At least I am finally getting somewhere:yeah: Any thoughts?

I think temporary positions are fine to put on a resume :) It's still experience...

Put it on there! You're working there, aren't ya? :)

I think I know you. :-) Or someone just like you. Yes, put it on your resume, I've already put it on mine. Anything you do that even points in the direction of nursing, i.e., shows that you have exercised skills needed to be a good nurse, is fair game, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah....if they're paying you to do nursey stuff, it counts :)

Yes, today is definitely too soon to put your new job on your resume.

First thing tomorrow morning would be just fine though!

I could have sworn that I know you too! I thought I just met you a couple of weeks ago, but I looked on your profile and saw that you live in the New England area. I live on the west coast, so I guess we don't know each other. There must be multiple us's running around!
