There are plenty of jobs here for new LVN's. Lots of places are willing to hire new grads but don't expect great pay. If you don't have an RN or BSN forget about the medical center. Your best bet would be LTAC, nursing homes, or doctor's office. Also, as far as I know Louisiana is not a compact state. In order to be licensed here you'll have to take the Jurisprudence Exam which covers the laws here in Texas. The Board of Nursing website for Texas has all the info you should need.
I am a new grad currently looking for lvn work. I have no experience but i am iv certified through the school with some phlebotomy training that i also received from the school. Ok, So I just graduated and passed my nclex-pn in the state of louisiana. I am trying to relocate to Houston, tx. I am currently having a moment where noone has started calling me back. I have put in several apps and just about all of them are looking for 1-2 yrs experience. Well if you ask me I think that the employer should except clinical experience as work experience. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to find work or know anyone who are hiring new graduate lvn's in Houston, Tx??? Help Me Please!!!!! Really ready too work and I know I just graduated but I honestly didnt think that I still wouldnt be working.
I am also finding it difficult too find work here too????
