Just graduated from Fort Hays State University RN to BSN

Updated:   Published

I just graduated and would highly recommend this program. When I started looking for a school with a RN to BSN degree I happen to come across this college here on Allnurses.com. I had never heard of it, but was looking for a cheap school that still had a good reputation.

Overall, I enjoyed the flexible scheduling of online classes and I couldn't go back to my community college for the cost of FHSU. It is a "real college" with an already established nursing progam located in Kansas.

If you have questions please let me know.

I am interested in knowing what the health assessment class is like. Did you have to do a webcam video or is it all papers. I like pares so am interested. Also, how long is the class that you had to do a project for.

I know this is an older post but hopefully if you are still considering the program this might help you out! I took the Health Assessment class online and it simply consisted of doing a video recorded head to toe of a patient while describing the landmarks, sounds, general head to toe assessment. I filmed myself assessing my wife and then edited the video later and got an A. No need for "embarrassing" area assessments, they assume you know that I guess! Either way decent class and not to labor intensive, but certainly not a phone it in class either...hope this helps!
