i was officially hired for my first nursing job last week!!! i don't start until the first week of october, because i just missed their orientation for september. it's a day shift on a cardiac floor, i know it will be busy, but there is also lots to learn and lots of experience to gain! so, in the long run it will be great for my career. (that's what i keep telling myself, when i start to think i'm crazy for taking it) also, a fellow graduate of mine is working on the same unit and started in august. so, i feel good that if he is surviving, than so can i! i'm happy it's a day shift--i feel if i took a night shift my sleep would always be outta wack. and my commute is less than 10 minutes, which i love!!
anyone have any suggestions for a newbie???

That is a great hospital to work for and if I remember correctly they are a part of the "M.O.M." group. i.e. Morristown, Overlook and Moutainside...A very good friend of mine works at Morristown Memorial and another one works at Overlook in Summit. You will love it there from what I understand. Lots to learn, lots of opportunities and never a dull moment.
Good luck and congrats!
OH, & BTW...my husband was born at Mountainside way back when in the 60's....
