Finished nursing school in october, passed NCLEX December and I just accepted a registered nurse position at my dream hospital on a unit that I really wanted. It is half med/surg and half step-down, burn, trauma, and epilepsy patients. It is night shift, not what I wanted there but I am not going to be picky in this situation. I will have 14 weeks of orientation.
Any tips or words of wisdom before I start on the 27th?

Congrats! I'm not a fan of night shift, but I think it's a great shift to start out on as a new nurse. Good luck!

I don't have any specific advice, but I wanted to say congrats! I also graduated, passed the NCLEX, and accepted a position at my #1 choice hospital recently. There are lots of great forum topics here with great tips and stories from other folks. I think what it boils down to is the first year is going to be tough! But in the end it will all be worth it! :) good luck to you!
