Hello everyone!
This is my second post on allnurses.com and it seems like a great site.
I am Graduating this December with my BSN. I have been a Student Nurse in the Cardiac SICU at Johns Hopkins and was just hired on the unit as a new graduate! :smiley_aa
I hope to be a regular on these forums and look forward to some good threads and discussions.
I start orientation this February and I CANNOT WAIT!

Congratulations on your new position! I ended up kind of by accident in the CTICU, and I've loved it ever since. You'll learn a lot at a fast pace, and you can use that knowledge wherever you go later in your career. It's a great choice, and a great hospital to do it in!
Just working as a tech I have seen so much. I am currently taking a Cardiovascular Critical Care elective at school and its going over alot of things that I have seen on the unit. Including VAD's, IABPS, etc.
I cant wait to start and im thankful for the 6 month orientation, I sure will need it!
