I just got back from the awful NCLEX
It shut off at 75
I was so nervous going in that I was shaking and kept dropping my ID and ATT. Two people I met on the way up asked me if I was here for the test because I looked so terrified. They said they were use to all the petrified looking people going up to the dreaded fifth floor.
That was by far the hardest exam I have ever taken. I was the first one finished and I was in tears the second I was done getting fingerprinted. It felt like I guessed on every single one! There was a TON of prioritizing and a few questions on malfunctioning equiptment which caught me by suprise. I felt if I had taken the exam without any sort of review I would have done just the same. A few exotic diseases I couldn't even pronounce let alone know what the symptoms/treatment were. Two drugs questions on Gentamicin, two on Heparin, and one for Reglan. A lot of teaching questions too. There were a few on peds (developmental stages) and psych. I had about 5 select all that apply. Again, I felt like I guessed on every single one. When my screen turned blue after 75, I felt like screaming, NO I"M NOT THAT DUMB, give me a few more questions to prove myself. I keep hearing its a good sign if you got the last question correct but I can't even remember my last question, let alone be confident I got it right. Sorry this is so long, Keep your fingers crossed and say some prayers for me. I think I need to go sleep for a few days!!!!!!!
Goodluck to you guys who are preparing to take it. The only upside is the anxiety about taking the actual exam is finally over with.
