Hey allnurses,
I just passed the last final exam of my senior year for my BSN program last friday and recently got my results. I Passed! I am really excited to attend pinning this weekend and cross the stage for my BSN. It's been a long journey to get to this point but I am here (pinch me - this is happening right?) and it feels great. I am very excited to get out there and start working in my profession (not so fast I still have state boards to conquer, and a job to find, lol)
as of Friday I had not even sent out my invitations for graduation since I was a little unsure, lets just say this semester was a little bumpy along the way. Critical content is TOUGH, but nevertheless I put my game face on and managed to pull itoff.
Wow, what a ride these last few years have been. Textbooks, lectures, clinical days, care plans, studying, labs, procedures, protocols, tests, quizzes, presentations, term papers, assessments, concept maps, med pass and everything else we had to do. Man what a rush it is to be finally graduating! I tell you there can be no better high than that of success after years and years of hardwork.
When your in the trenches doing the program it seems like you will never get there, but you will. When you do finally make it (and you will) its quite a feeling. I'm still in a kind of surreal state of shock. This whole senior year I knew this day was coming but it never really seemed to be getting closer with all the assignments and studying going on but it is finally here!
Just had to get that out!
Whew, I made it! YEA!
I want to give a shout out to all my fellow nurses graduating in 2012, Congrats!
Also giving a shout out to all the student nurses out there working through their program any step of the way, keep on trucking, your day is coming and it will be sooo worth it!
Thanks for reading!

I can't say congrats enough!!!!! I justbecame a senior and can't believe it, it came so fast. I also am in a BSN program and I don't know how yours is but we have sophmore, junior, and senior nursing years so its a bit longer but it sure does go by fast. I am enjoying a break now but I know I'm going to be waiting for that time I can write that same post this time nexy year. Congrats! Such a wonderful accomplishment!!!!!!!

Congratulations are definitely in order! I am so happy for you! I am about to start the ADN program (want to eventually get my MSN) and the idea of graduating even with just the 2 year degree seems like a dream at this point. This will be my 2nd attempt at nursing school as I missed the first by 2 points in the first semester. I've grown up a lot this past year waiting for another chance and plan to not let it get the best of me this time around!
Enjoy the moment and take lots of pictures, it will be gone in a flash and you'll be back in the books studying for NCLEX!
