Hey everyone,
I was just trying to get a group chat started on people who have sent in their application packet to the Air Force Commissioning board for the Nurse Transition program for next year! Who has sent in for OB and who's for Med/Surg?

So much different info! I was also told that the boards close on July 10 but you could get an extention. My recruiter had me sign final paperwork on July 9 and he fed ex'd everything to reach San Antonio on July 10. There was a mistake on his part in the paperwork that I hope he was able to fix before submitting it. He also said we should find out late August or early September. The anticipation is making time go so slow. But these threads are so nice to help with support.

These threads do help a lot! I just hope we all get accepted! Ps...does anyone know HOW we hear if we've been selected or not? Phone, letter, etc?

Hello!
Yes we requested an extension and the last possible date is July 24 b/c thats when they begin reviewing applicants (apparently- that's what he told me!) . I applied to the NTP board med-surg. I had my physical today- that was a fun-filled all day event.
I'm currently at NYU's accelerated nursing program (2nd degree student) and graduate in May 2013!
"How" you hear your acceptance is by either calling your recruiter everyday (haha) or he calls you!

My recruiter told me that he calls each applicant alphabetically by last name to tell them whether or not they've been selected.
Ahhhh! That's what my recruiter said, then he/she sends a very formal letter to us! Is it September yet??

I told my recruiter to let me know ASAP via e-mail, the rest is just a formality =]
Hey guys...is it september yet??
I've been asking that same question. Days just keep dragging.
How's everyone doing? The board is going to start looking at applicants tomorrow!!
Ahhhh!!! Praying, praying, and more praying! Everyone just needs to be confident in their application! Confidence, not arrogance, will get us all very far! I wish you all the best of luck!!! And when we hear, start posting! A congratulations will be in order for those who are selected to our wonderful military, and support for those who fell a little short this time! We'll all get where we want! I have faith in that!
The wait is torture! At least the ones who get chosen will truly appreciate their job and the military:) So nervous and excited to hear some news. These blogs have been very supportive to read. We should all keep each other updated if we hear any new news:) I'm working OR right now for some experience but hope to be chosen for OB. I am crossing my fingers for all of us and can't wait to find out! I want it soooo bad!
The wait is definitely hard!!! So you signed up for OB? We're the only two on here that I've found that went the OB route instead of med/Surg! When did u graduate?
