JTCC Spring 2017 RN Program

Hello, I would like to hear from others that applied to the 2017 JTCC RN program. What has your experience been like thus far? How well did you do on your TEAS V? ( I am very nervous about my score as I didnt do as well as I had hoped.) I got a 68% on overall with a 3.0 GPA and I applied for both tracks. I hope to hear something soon!

@Msebby - (I tried to send this via PM and I guess I haven't use the site enough to be allowed) I'm so sorry to hear the passing of your dad. I'm sure its devastating for you I have some white shoes that have a tiny bit of blue on them that I might try to get by on. Amazon has a pretty big selection, and a lot of people have reviewed them for clinical work. Location-wise, sounds like you're on the opposite side of town from me, I live in the city off of Riverside Drive (basically across the river from VCU). We can certainly study together, I have a couple friends in the program as well, and we were planning a study group, you're welcome to join it if it works for you! Try not to stress too much, it'll be fun once we all get started :)

Has anyone purchased their textbooks yet? Do we really need to get what is on the entire list or can we just get the skilled nurse bag from the bookstore and the nur111 book bundle? I didn't see any books listed for nur226. The nur111 bundle with ebook only is $1055! That is insane and I don't qualify for financial aid- yikes! This is all adding up really quickly with uniforms, shoes, and all the other nursing supplies we need. I know it'll all be worth it but I am overwhelmed right now with the sticker shock.

Yes I am also using a laptop. SO I emailed L. Mueller and asked about the books and she said we need exactly what is on the booklist for the first semester. I am unsure of what exactly is needed because the book list says, "includes student learning system," as well as mentioning that simchart and simulation learning system-rn are included in the above bundle. I haven't seen any of those listed while looking. There are no ISBN numbers so it is really confusing. Anyone have any insight on the books?

Good morning everyone!! So, I've tried on so many shoes and the winner is: Skechers Dlites. They are a bit bulky but super comfortable. $44 bucks at famous footwear with retailmenot promo code.

Yikes! I knew it was going to be expensive, but I wasn't expecting that much. I'm going to have to figure out how to swing that I don't qualify for aid either that I know of. I can't believe that they (whoever "they" is) can charge that much for a book. Seems insane.
