We get 90 seconds per question, as we are told that's what the NCLEX gives you. As well as not being able to go back and look at previous questions for the same reason.

I'm friends with a girl on FB that never uses the possessive form for her children. As in "I went to Sarah school today". It drives me up a wall, and takes every shred of restraint to not comment on it.

My goal is to be an L&D nurse. I know it's a hard area to break in to, but it's really where I want to be.

I had a hard time piecing everything together online, so I bought them at the bookstore. I held off on the NCLEX review for now. I also used Ebates and got 2% cash back (about $22) buying them online and picking them up at the bookstore. Let me know if you need a referral code.

I'm 32 and starting nursing school in January. I spent 5 years getting a BS that I really never used, spent 3 years after college stuck in retail, 4 years at an OB/GYN office discovering that I love healthcare. Did my pre-reqs last summer. Does anyone know which books are included in the bundle at the bookstore? I wanted to try to price them out separately to see if it's cheaper to buy them separately from Amazon. Is it the list that was given to us in our orientation packet?

I took mine at Health Educators. They are off of Parham. They had classes both during the week and on weekends, and you get your card at the end of class.

So I went to Gabe's today, and looks like I was late to the party. They had 1 pair of XS and 2 pairs of 3XL in the wine color. No idea if they will get more in soon, I didn't ask. But the tag said they were about $13, which is comparable to what I've seen on Amazon. Hope that helps! There is a cute(ish) pair on Amazon that have a flared leg, I wonder if we can wear those since they said they have to be comparable to the style show on Meridy's, but all they show is the wide leg and tapered leg. I've worn flared in the past, and is so much more flattering...

I haven't looked yet, but I remember one of the ladies at orientation saying that they were pretty affordable at Gabe's on Hull St. I might swing by tomorrow to see what I can find. If I do I'll let you know what I see.

So I talked to a friend that is also in the program, and she said that it was her understanding that the books for 111 are also the books for 236, which is why there isn't anything under that course. Which softens the blow of the price a bit.

I'm surprised they didn't sent it all out at once. They know people will talk!

Yikes! I knew it was going to be expensive, but I wasn't expecting that much. I'm going to have to figure out how to swing that I don't qualify for aid either that I know of. I can't believe that they (whoever "they" is) can charge that much for a book. Seems insane.

I'll be using a laptop as well. I imagine most people will be, especially with e-books.
