JPS Graduate nurse residency Winter 2016

Hey all,

I am starting a thread for the GN residency at JPS in fort worth. I have searched and searched for some kind of information! I have so much anxiety about finding this first position. Most of the people in my group have found jobs already so I am trying to remain positive! Is anyone else applying for the nurse residency at JPS? Any updates or word on interviews, number of positions or anything? Just hoping for something to help me pass the time while the waiting game continues!

I applied and haven't heard anything either. I'm just like you where most of the people in my class have found jobs and I'm starting to panic! I think it must be that most hospitals are taking their time and we are just expecting to hear back sooner. I hope we start hearing back soon!

I hope so too! I am trying not to get discouraged, but its not easy. Have you gotten any interviews yet?

I have one interview at UT Southwestern tomorrow for their med surg residency. That's literally all I've heard. I'd like to work in women's services but have not heard from any of those residencies. How about you?

I have had one interview so far at Baylor. Have not heard back yet tho. The waiting is torture! Good luck on your interview today! Hope it goes well. :)

I received an email yesterday afternoon asking me for the best time for an interview and the areas that I want to work.

I'm also very anxious about the interview. I never had one before, plus English is my second language :/

If someone has some tips please, I will appreciate it.
