Johns Hopkins University Masters Entry into Nursing Spring 2016

I figured I would start a thread for those students who are applying or did apply for the Johns Hopkins Masters Entry into Nursing program for spring 2016.

My scores aren't the best either. I just took it again and was really disappointed to find that I didn't do much better than I did the first time. What is your previous degree in?

UMSON and Georgetown have similar programs I believe. I haven't looked into the others yet. JHU is the only one I applied to...its my first choice and I'm trying to have faith.

They said decisions will be out between September 1-14...I've heard nothing today so it's going to be a long week!

They said decisions will come via a letter in the mail...

I'm applying for the Fall 2016. What were your GRE and GPAs like? I'm studying for the GRE, is it super hard like is there something I should study? I'm super nervous. Hopkins is my first and top choice & it's the only one I'm applying to.

My GRE wasn't great so hopefully they will look at the application holistically as promised. I used EmpowerGRE to study with and it was a phenomenal study tool that exceeded my expectations. If only I had had more time to study and wasn't working full time, I believe I would have done better. All that to say, don't be nervous, be prepared! Anxiety won't help...it will only get in your way. You can do it!!!

50th percentile they said for GRE scores...

Are they definitely sending them by letter? Last cohort some were sent out by email to some people

I emailed them last night to ask which method they would use, this morning I had a response from admissions which read as follows:

"Thank you for your email.

You will receive a letter in the mail.

Sincerely,

Betsy Emery"

I haven't heard anything yet and I live right outside of Baltimore (if the decisions are coming by snail mail). Ive seen that in previous years they notified people by phone calls and emails. I've had my phone on me all week and have been checking my email and mail diligently. The suspense is killing me! I hope we hear before the holiday weekend!

I spoke with admissions this morning. They said no decisions have been released yet. However, they will definitely be released this month and they will be arriving via snail mail. Hope this helps.
