Hi all - maybe I am jumping the gun, but has anyone else begun working on their applications for Summer/Fall 2010 admission?
I plan on applying for direct entry to JHU, UCSF, Yale, Columbia, and Vanderbilt. With the exception of UCSF's 9/1 deadline, the rest seem to be due between 11/1 and 12/1. Although UCSF has the closest deadline, I am stressing the most about the essays for JHU. Anyone started them yet?
Also, does anyone plan on attending the open house that JHU is having in September? I would love to go, but I am in California, so I have to decide if it is worth the $$$. I am thinking I might be better off saving the money to fly out for the interview (positive thinking here).
Anyway, I would love to compare notes with anyone applying, or anyone who applied last year.

For those of us who still wait in limbo, would you each tell us what your stats are as far as previous degree GPA, pre-req GPA, overall GPA, GRE scores, experience, whatever you are willing to share?!
Okay, my mailbox is empty again. I really don't know how to feel at this point! It's so painful that they are dragging this out until the last day! But I still see a glimmer of hope.

Hi CaliGirlD! Way back in August I started a post with my credentials to get a reality check about my BSN chances (back when I was deciding what I was going to do)... so rather than write up again, here's the link...
I also took the GRE and got a 1210, but that was for the MPH program as it wasn't necessary for the MSN. But yeah, my path to this point was waaaaay convoluted, and not perfect.
I tried to get an idea of how many were accepted and how many applications, but she didn't have that info available. But I definitely think they'll make more calls tomorrow... from what I understand, about half of each cohort was accepted early decision. But that's a very very loose estimate.
